Text Box: Mission: To increase public awareness and provide technical assistance in conserving our soil, water, and other natural resources.

Text Box: In 1941, the Ohio General Assembly authorized formation of soil conservation districts for the purpose of developing programs for the conservation of our soil resources.  The 88 Soil and Water Conservation Districts in Ohio are legal entities of the State of Ohio and are governed by a board of five elected supervisors that serve without pay in the interest of planning and carrying out the district programs.
